Kathryn at the front desk is passive aggressive and very rude. I'm sorry if I was standing there a half a second longer than you wanted me to but you don't need to get snippy with me and rudely tell me to get out of the way. The older gentleman behind me was not even ready so I'm not sure why I was spoken to in such a nasty tone. Thanks for turning away a customer!

Ryan- Katherine has worked on the Johnson’s team for many years and over those years we’ve received nothing but compliments on her fantastic customer service. She is truly a valued employee, and our actual customers have nothing but good things to say about her professionalism & willingness to go above and beyond for them!

Had a problem, and without an appointment, they sent out a mechanic. Across the street, Ford, which is what we have, wouldn't even look at the problem they told me two weeks

I will always go to Johnson's for all my Automotive Care needs! The shop is super clean, and the technicians are very pleasant, informative, knowledgeable, and kind. I can always count on Catherine (sp?) in the office to pencil my car in for an appointment. I appreciate the crew at Johnson's so much! 10/10!

Thanks Morgan! We appreciate your business and your review!

I strongly recommend you avoid this place. You're better off taking your vehicle to a dealership to repair. I have had numerous issues here and this one was the last straw. Every time i bring my car in for preventive maintenance or any sort of repair, something goes wrong when I leave their shop. Took them five times to figure out why my car was stalling and shaking when it was the spark plugs and ignition coils. They thought it was “the age of the car”. It's an 08. Then they thought I was making it up until I showed them the issue. It would happen when the car is first started up or sitting for a few hours. I overlooked this despite how ridiculous it was and how rude they were. Months later, I bring the car in on issue with squealing noise when AC or Heat is on and they tell me it's the wind and that the coolant and serpentine belt need replacing for unrelated issues. I comply spending $700. I also change the air filters without their recommendation and that fixes the issue. The coolant and belts were fine and relatively new. Shortly after I leave Johnson's shop, my radio stops working. It was working fine without a single issue up until I brought it into Johnson's shop. I addressed this with the manager Mike who told me I am delusional. Radio was staticy. Also they left the extremely dirty air filter in my backseat for me. Wonderful people! Brought it to a family friend who is a basic mechanic and it turns out the radio wiring was disconnected. Johnson's had left it that way. I try to reason with the manager Mike but he just brushes it off. All of the mechanics there are rude snobs who look at you dirty and appear to be unfit to service cars. I regularly detect the smell of marijuana when I am at Johnsons auto. I also saw one of the mechanics holding a small plastic bag with a white powder substance inside it. That said enough for me at this point. I will never be coming to this place again.

Was in town for work and my car broke down. They got me in and out super fast. I'm on the road sometimes 320+ days a year so I've had really bad experiences with shops when they know you're from out of town and have very few choices. NOT these guys! Fixed everything for a very reasonable price. Would recommend this place to anyone who needs their vehicle fixed.

As a shop owner myself, I can confidently say these guys are excellent. They were able to help my wife who was visiting NH on a ski trip with an emergency diagnostic and repair the day after I called. The loaner vehicle was a vacation saver, and what could have been a disaster was just a minor inconvenience. Mike and Katherine are a pleasure to deal with, and offered us a great experience during a less than great situation. The pricing was fair and reasonable for the level of service offered. Please ignore the ridiculous (and few) less than 5-star reviews - some people can't be satisfied. I can confidently recommend this shop, as an industry insider.

I have been a customer for a year or so. Tires, brakes, fluid changes. Everyone is pleasant. Unfortunately, they are a bigger automotive business and that comes with some downsides. Jobs which take a short time turn into full day waiting periods no matter how far in advance you book or make sure your vehicle is there at 7:30 am. Emergency (dead battery) issues can’t be handled because they’re booked. Their loaner cars are a wonderful perk when their odometers work. I capped off the gas before returning and was told I drove 60+ miles and didn’t fill the tank! A minor issue which turned into a big deal over $6.99. Big deal for me who was being accused of dishonesty. Find a good, honest mechanic who works on your vehicle when you arrive and can afford to charge more reasonably for service. Big business, advertising, etc. North Conway once again loosing its small town appeal.

Karen, vehicles scheduled for a 7:30am drop off are scheduled to stay with us for the day, and we let our customers know that when scheduling the appointment. We offer loaner vehicles FREE of charge to our customers. The vehicles are loaned out with a completely full tank of gas and we ask they are returned the same way. You signed a loaner car agreement, agreeing to these terms so when you returned the vehicle with less than a full tank of gas, per the agreement, you were charged accordingly. No one was accusing you of being dishonest, only for returning a loaner vehicle that was not filled with gas. If you read through the reviews here and on our website, it's not hard to find reviews thanking us for helping customers in an emergency. Locals and visitors alike, we do our very best to help people who are stranded, etc. Johnson's has been in business for over 45 years because we are a "good and honest" mechanic and our customer service is top notch. Your comment about advertising is completely off base! We only advertise locally, in the Daily Sun and on local radio. The newspaper and radio support many non-profit organizations in the MWV as does Johnson's and we will continue to do so in the future. It's too bad you can't see the benefit in that!
