Me and my family were on our vacation in the area when I heard a grinding noise coming from my front wheel. I have two kids under seven and the last I needed was to be stuck on the side of the road with them. I called Johnson's when I got to my resort and they shared they could squeeze me in the next day. I had Triple A tow my car to the shop and the owner called me after a few hours and went through it and only found that it was a bent brake dust shield. I was shocked they only charged me a small amount of money. If I had a mechanic around me I know they would have charged me a boat loud of money and replaced things that did not needed to be replaced. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. Much appreciated and a great value.

Update: After Johnson's lied to AMEX, about what actually transpired, they are re-billing me for the broken glovebox (over 100 dollars to repair) and oil change (49 dollars). Not a thing Johnson's said was true. You never emailed me about the incident. And I surely let the man at the shop look at my newly broken glovebox before I left that very evening. He was the first representative of the company to lie to me, and call me a liar, in the process. Unconscionable behavoir becomes standard fare, nowadays. Johnson's equals liars. Not to be trusted. This was not my first visit here. It will certainly be my last visit here. They broke my glovebox, then denied it. No question. No apology. I also had a previous flap about a bulb they had replaced. Shoddy service. Shoddy customer service. My kingdom for a decent, reputable repair shop. It's certainly not this one, AAA approved, or not. Avoid this place, with no apology.

Hi Matt, We do appreciate your repeat business and I’m sorry you believe we broke your glove box. We had no reason to be in your glove box while your vehicle was in our shop. When you mentioned you believed we had caused your glovebox to be broken we did ask you at the time to let us take a look at it to see what the issue was, but you refused. Unfortunately, we can’t go about taking care of an issue if we can’t even lay an eye on it. Even though we had no reason to be in or near your glove box to cause the damage, we were still looking to take the steps to correct the issue because that’s the kind of TOP NOTCH customer service we offer. I even went as far as reaching out to you by phone, but as of now you have not returned my phone call. If you had a previous issue about a bulb we replaced, it should have been brought to our attention as we can’t correct things we don’t know about. Thank you for pointing out that we are a AAA Repair Facility. You don’t just “buy into” that program. We have to maintain strict standards in order to keep our AAA status. That means best in the nation warranty, insurance, and customer service! Above all that, we have been doing business in the Mount Washington Valley for over 45 years. We wouldn’t be here if we offered “shoddy” repairs and certainly not with “shoddy” customer service. Our long standing reputation speaks for itself, and so do the hundreds of online reviews that mention our excellent customer service! Again, if you would like to discuss this with me further, please feel free to reach out to me. Sincerely, Mike Tetreault General Manager

It was more convenient for me to drop off my car on Sunday night for a Tuesday appointment. I left them my backup key fob which isn't working, but they key itself does. I had tried replacing the battery in it myself and that didn't work so I just figured that was that. What do you know, they got my car in for A/C repair a day early AND got my key fob working even though I hadn't mentioned it and wasn't charged for it. My A/C is blowing cold now. All good! I love Johnson's Auto and have complete faith in their work.

I own a 2005 Hummer. I had driven it to the Conway area to purchase a 20 ft travel trailer. After towing the trailer for about 20 minutes I parked and the truck rolled forward a few inches. Didn’t like the way it felt, so immediately tried to start it and change gears, neither happened. Had truck towed to Johnson’s with the pre knowledge that they would try to get to it that day but no promises. Well they did go look at it within minutes and mentioned it might be a common problem of a plastic bushing in the shifting linkage slipping off and disconnecting the linkage. And verified, again within minutes, it was indeed the bushing. The honesty, professional experience, efficiency and quality of work demonstrated at Johnson’s is top notch. I highly recommend them, and will not hesitate driving 2 hours to this garage myself for future work to any of my vehicles, due to the trust that has been instilled in this AAA group.
